Divini
Crystal was just trying to figure out what role she would play in her kingdom's society. Little did she know, she would be its savior...
Recruit allies, learn magic spells, and leverage the power of the goddess herself to battle monsters, demons, and creepy-looking dolls across 4 quests!
Average play time: 1 - 2 hours
- Stay curious: Check every corner, inspect every object, and talk to everyone (sometimes more than once) to uncover all of the secrets
- No random encounters: All enemies are displayed on the field in this Super Mario RPG-inspired encounter system, but stay alert; some enemies are camouflaged!
- Multiple endings: The way you play through the game determines which of the 3 endings you will receive
This is my first-ever game made with RPG Maker MV. I only used the default assets that came with the program (except for a few custom-made sprites due to the limited number of default monster sprites), and focused on story, playability, and bug fixes.
Thanks for playing!

critique
coming from an rpg maker game developerthese are only suggestions, don't take it offensively !!
maps - the maps were too wide, open, and spacious with little props and layout; principled maps should have a maximum height and width, unless the specific maps must be large. many maps should be small and crowded, and original layouts and designs for each one.
i would also like to mention, for some maps you used either default ones, or automatically generated ones; you're able to use these, that's why they exist; but they're mainly used for inspiration, so anyone could be original and have their own interesting creations.
characters - every single character in the game acted the same, personality wise and dialogue wise. in ideal games, each and every character has different ways of speaking and personalities; even shopkeepers or unrelevant to the plot npcs. it's a very important aspect in the game, because the characters are the main storytellers of your plot.
also, many characters have the default bodies and icons. it's okay to use it for some background npcs, but not for most of the entire gameplay. this takes away from the originality aspect, which is also a very important one. if you want to stand out, you must have distinct and lovable characters.
Thanks for playing my game and giving such detailed feedback! I will be sure to keep these points in mind for my future projects.
This was my first-ever game, so I'm curious to know if you see improvement in my other games.
I'd say pretty darn good for your first game! Maps were pretty open but you had a cohesive plot and I especially liked the little NPC quips. Nice job! :)
Glad you enjoyed my game. 🙂 I always appreciate feedback, so I hope you'll check out my other games too.
Finally beat this one start to finish. I respect the open-ended nature of this game, and I found it really fun! Plenty of side quests, secrets, and alternate ways to play. I chose the Goddess Icon route, which was a pretty interesting way to win.
Still looking for all the secrets like the Goddess Gems and Feathers. Some sort of hint or progress indication would be nice! I have no idea what I'm missing or where. Luckily the world isn't too huge so I'm bound to find everything eventually, right?
Glad you finally got to play this, Human! Yes, some sort of progress indicator for the goddess gems & feathers would be good; I can even think of a way to do it without plugins. It is possible to find them all, and I designed it so you have to explore pretty much every corner of the game (and do a majority of the side quests) to find them.
I’ve learned a lot since I made this game, so I hope to incorporate all that learning and feedback into Divini 2 (whenever I manage to find time to do it). Maybe I’ll even remake this game some day.
Thanks again for playing, and glad you enjoyed it.
OK so any feathers missable? Also how many total?
All the haters who clown on games that use the RTP should play this. This is such a fun game, I love all the little secrets/explorables that it has. I hope the other games in the series expand on the lore, I'll 100% this one and move on to the sequel.
Aww, thank you for the amazingly kind words! I have a sequel and a side story in the works, with plans for more in the future. Better still, my skills have grown considerably since this game was made, so look forward to even more cool mechanics and quests!
Yup! I just took down the final boss here, took me about 1h30min to complete the game and I had a great time. I might actually come back to it later, since I missed out on a couple things I think. Really looking forward to playing the sequels now!
Is it possible to make an option to switch the keys? I personally prefer X to select. I’m fine with it like this still, and it looks to be a great game (I just started it)! Thanks!
Good question! RPG Maker doesn't allow for customizing controls by default, and part of my personal challenge while making this game was to not use any plugins. I'm not sure if I will add the plugin for that option to this project, but all of my other projects (where applicable anyway) do allow you to customize your controls.
Glad you're having fun so far! Thanks for the feedback!
Ok, thanks! It’s fine if it doesn’t allow you to :D Again, still a really good game :D
Please make another one
Thank you for enjoying the game! A sequel is in the works. :-)
